AWA — ‘river’ in Te Reo Māori — is guitarist Maciek Hrybowicz’s instrumental solo album, inspired by three rivers that anchored different chapters of his life: the Vistula in Poland, the Thames in London, and the Waikato in Aotearoa New Zealand. Recorded with musicians from six countries, it’s a soundtrack for a film yet to be made — a meditation on encountering an unfamiliar land and culture for the first time.

JT+Agnostics
A blues album that’s as funny as it is heartfelt. Yes More Blues delves into modern Aotearoa New Zealand life — unrequited love, the chase for meaning, the allure of fame, and the stubborn comfort of the blues — with a light touch and a sharp eye. Co-written by Maciek Hrybowicz and the late John Thomson, and recorded with a tight ensemble of Waikato musicians, this is what the band calls “Kiwiana blues you can believe in.”
John Thomson — JT+Agnostics’ bassist, co-writer and the heart of the band — passed away in January 2025. Yes More Blues is his recorded legacy: a thoughtful, generous, self-told portrait of a life lived in music.
