Who we are
This site, maciekmusic.com, is run by Maciek Hrybowicz, trading as Maciek Music, based in the UK.

What information we collect
We collect personal data in a few specific ways:
When you contact us. If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message. This is sent to us by email and stored securely using a WordPress plugin (Flamingo) so we can refer back to past enquiries.
When you sign up to our newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect your email address via Mailchimp. We use double opt-in, meaning you’ll receive a confirmation email before you’re added to our list. Your email is used only to send you occasional updates from Maciek Music — we don’t share it with anyone else, including the artists on our label.
When you make a purchase. Physical and digital purchases are processed entirely through Stripe or Bandcamp. We do not see or store your payment details, and this information never passes through our website. Please refer to Stripe’s privacy policy and Bandcamp’s privacy policy for details on how they handle your data.
Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies:
- Bandcamp’s embedded music players may set cookies to remember playback settings.
- If you sign up to our newsletter, Mailchimp’s signup form may set a cookie as part of that process.
- Stripe may set cookies during checkout, on Stripe’s own site, to process your payment securely.
We do not use any analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not track your browsing activity across other websites.
Embedded content
Pages on this site include embedded content from Bandcamp (music players) and occasionally other platforms. Embedded content behaves as if you had visited that website directly — for example, Bandcamp may collect data about your interaction with their player according to their own privacy policy.
How long we keep your data
- Contact form submissions are kept indefinitely for our records unless you ask us to delete them.
- Newsletter subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe, at which point Mailchimp removes you from our list.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete that data
- Withdraw consent at any time (e.g. unsubscribing from our newsletter, which you can do via the link in any email we send)
